The 2026 United States Sports University Baseball Team's Annual Steak Series culminated in a 2-0 sweep for Team Columbia over Team Navy.<br />

Team Columbia captained by
Andrew Garza, won game one of the series 2-1 backed by strong pitching from Brayden Scott. Scott pitched four complete innings striking out six and giving up just one earned run to earn the victory.Â
Ryan Carson pitched three innings of one-hit relief to notch the save.<br />

Columbia struck first in the bottom of the second inning thanks to a pair of Navy errors. Dan Howell scored the first run of the game. Columbia made it 2-0 in the third inning on three straight two-out singles with Dan Howell knocking in the run with an RBI. Navy cut the lead in half as Gabe Dexter singled and scored on a double by Nate Perez in the top half of the 5th. After a Kade Wall walk, Carson retired 9 of the last 10 hitters to give Columbia the win.<br />

In game two, Columbia took a 1-0 lead as Dan Howell scored on a sacrifice fly off the bat of Jhett Long. Columbia went up 3-0 in the top of the third on a two-run homerun by Dom Hartman. In the bottom of the third,
Chase Jones homered for Navy to cut the lead to 3-1. Columbia moved ahead 5-1 in the fourth inning on RBI hits by Napoleon Colston and Braden Braud. Navy cut the lead to 5-2 on an RBI double from
Cooper Nix. Columbia added a run in the top of the fifth on an RBI single by Garza. Navy battled back with a run in the fifth on a homerun by
Hayden Jones and added two more in the sixth to cut the lead to 6-5 but left the bases loaded. After a scoreless top half of the seventh,
Victor Tyo retired the side in order to collect the save.<br />
