HENDERSON, Tenn. – The United States Sports University women's soccer team fell in a close road battle, 3-2, against Freed-Hardeman at the Josh Riley Complex on Monday afternoon.

How it Happened
Morakane Mokhothu opened scoring while being assisted by Alexia Lorenzo-Pereira in the 27
th minute. The pair gave the Lions (2-6-0, 0-1-0 MSC) an early 1-0 lead.

Cameron Cain cleared a ball from the USSU (3-1-0, 1-0-0 CAC) half of the field and found
Katherine Solis, who scored in the 41
st minute and evened the match, 1-1. The goal marked the first of the season for Solis.

Isabel Croke closed the first half with a goal in the 42
nd minute for FHU. Freed-Hardeman took a 2-1 lead into halftime.

The Lions were awarded a penalty kick in the 55
th minute that Croke scored to give FHU a 3-1 lead.

Ambria Snell cut into the deficit with her third goal of the season in the 76
th minute, making it a 3-2 game.
