DAPHNE, Ala. – The United States Sports University women's soccer team scored six times in the first half and three times in the second to shut out Faulkner 9-0 at Village Park on Monday evening.

How it Happened
Avery Saulter opened scoring in the second minute on
Ansley Warner's assist, then
Saneya Gutierrez converted Warner's second assist minutes later to put the Eagles (4-1-0) in front 2-0.

Saulter added her second goal in the 22
nd minute, giving USSU a 3-0 advantage.

Katherine Solis scored off an assist from
Kiara Pulgarin in the 31
st minute before Pulgarin struck twice in 41 seconds to build a 6-0 halftime lead.

Warner scored off a rebounded shot taken by Jordan Raynor in the 61
st minute. Warner tallied her third assist of the match after finding
Bailey Nichols, who scored in the 65
th minute.

Solis completed her two-goal performance in the 80
th minute. Faulkner was awarded a penalty kick in the final seconds of the match, which was denied by
Cadence Huntress to seal the 9-0 shutout victory.

- The Eagles scored a season-high nine goals and 24 points while matching their program record of six assists.
