MARIETTA, Ga. – The United States Sports University volleyball team fell to Life, 3-0 (25-17, 25-22, 25-8) Friday evening.
 
How it Happened
USSU (2-9) stayed close early in the opening set before Life (8-2) took a 12-10 lead. The Running Eagles extended their advantage to 17-12 before USSU battled back to within 20-16. Life closed out the opening frame, 25-17.
 
Life built a 15-8 lead in the second set before USSU responded with a 5-1 run. USSU continued to battle and pulled within 18-17 following a service ace from Oriana Morin. The Running Eagles went on to take the set, 25-22.
 
The Eagles started the third set with a 3-1 lead before Life responded with five straight points. Life extended its lead to 15-5 and closed the match with a 25-8 win.
 
Match Notes
- Emmory McMurtray led the match with eight kills.
- Jursey Foote recorded a team-leading 12 assists.
- USSU finished with 23 kills, 21 assists, 16 digs and six block assists.
- Life totaled 35 kills, 34 assists, 28 digs and 11 service aces.
