Box Score MARIETTA, Ga. – The United States Sports University volleyball team dropped a 3-0 decision to Life on Saturday, falling 25-15, 25-5, 25-9.
 
How it Happened
The Eagles (2-10) battled through the opening set, trailing by just five points (17-12) before Life (9-2) pulled away to win 25-15.
 
The Running Eagles opened the second set with a 14-0 scoring run. USSU fought back, but Life took set two 25-5.
 
The Eagles kept things close early in the final set, trailing 6-3. The Running Eagles used four scoring runs of three or more points to pull away and close out the match, 25-9.
 
Match Notes
- Emmory McMurtray led the USSU offense with six kills.
- USSU totaled 19 digs and 12 assists, five of which came from freshman setter Jursey Foote.
- Life totaled 42 kills, 12 aces, five blocks, 39 assists and 36 digs.
