NEW ORLEANS, La. – The United States Sports University dropped both games of Wednesday's doubleheader to Southern University at New Orleans, falling 10-4 and 8-5.

Game One | SUNO 10, USSU 4
SUNO (4-2, 0-0 HBCU) built an early 3-0 lead with a run in the first and two more in the second before the Eagles (4-4) rallied midway through the game.

USSU scored twice in the fifth on an RBI groundout by
Napoleon Colston and a wild pitch, then took a 4-3 lead in the sixth on an RBI double from
Chase Jones and a run-scoring wild pitch.
Â
The Knights answered in the bottom of the sixth, capitalizing on walks, hit batters and timely hitting during a seven-run burst to regain the lead.
Â
Colston finished with an RBI single, while
Caleb Polk recorded two hits and Jones added a double and RBI.

Jaden Brown (0-1) took the loss in relief. Dylan Jimenez earned the win for SUNO.

Game Two | SUNO 8, USSU 5
In the nightcap, SUNO scored three runs in the first inning and added five more across the second and third to build an 8-1 lead. A three-run double by Miles Bowens highlighted the opening frame, and a two-run home run from Jimenez extended the margin in the second.

USSU answered with a solo home run from
Dominick Hartman in the second inning and scored three more in the fifth on Hartman's two-run and steal of home by
Evan Jacob to cut the deficit to 8-4. The Eagles added a run in the sixth on an RBI fielder's choice by Jacob but were unable to close the gap.

Hartman finished with two hits and three RBIs to lead the Eagles' offense.
Kade Wall recorded a hit and scored, while
Hayden Jones and
Cooper Nix each added a hit.

Ayden Farrow (1-0) earned the win in relief for SUNO. Jackson Frazier recorded the save for the Knights.
Case Hager (0-1) took the loss for USSU.
