FIRST-TIME FOES
The Eagles and Toppers will meet for the first time ever in the series opener Thursday. Blue Mountain marks the seventh NAIA program that USSU has faced in program history.
SCOUTING REPORT
The Toppers enter the series on a six-game win streak. Blue Mountain swept both Stillman and Williams Baptist during its opening week of action.
ROAD EAGLES
For the second year in a row, the Eagles will open their season on the road. Last year, USSU started the year off at the LSU Alexandria Tournament, during which the Eagles captured the first win in program history against Texas A&M-Texarkana, 4-3.
