LULING, La. – The United States Sports University softball team swept a doubleheader at Xavier (La.) on Tuesday, earning a 2-1 win in the opener before an 11-2 victory in game two.

- The Eagles broke through late, scoring nine runs over the final three innings to pull away for the win.
- Xavier (La.) took an early 2-0 lead in the second inning before USSU tied the game in the fourth.

Kassidy (Rowdy) New sparked the offense, going 3-for-5 with a double, triple and RBI while scoring four runs.

Isabelle Calagaz added three hits and two RBI, and
Annabeth (AB) Parrish recorded two hits and an RBI.
- USSU finished with 12 hits, taking advantage of four Xavier errors.

Ryleigh Merritt (7-8) earned the win with her seventh complete game of the season, allowing three runs on nine hits while striking out six.
