Pensacola, FL - The United States Sports University women's volleyball team fell in straight sets to Pensacola Christian College on Tuesday evening, dropping the match by scores of 25-9, 25-12, and 25-14.
Despite the loss, the Eagles showed grit on defense, tallying 38 digs, led by
Oriana Morin with 13.
Vera Burns paced the USSU offense with four kills, while
Aubrianna Tucker and Emmory McMurtray each added three. From the service line, the Eagles produced six aces, highlighted by two from Morin.
USSU will look to regroup and continue building toward its first win of the season as they play a trimatch on Friday against Georgia State & College University at 4pm and University of West Alabama at 7pm.
