Fairhope, AL - The United States Sports University women's soccer team put on a dominant display Saturday evening, earning a 17-0 victory over Tougaloo College at the Fairhope Soccer Complex. The Eagles jumped out to an 11-0 lead by halftime and added six more in the second half to secure the commanding win, improving their record to 3-3 on the season.
The offensive attack was led by Emma Deacon, who scored three goals and added two assists while putting nine shots toward goal in just 39 minutes of play. Ansley Warner tallied four goals on six shots, and Saneya Gutierrez added two goals and two assists in the victory. Katherine Solis and Ambria Snell each contributed a pair of goals and an assist, while Kailey Morgan, Ferrin Coleman, and Asucena Magana also found the back of the net. In total, USSU outshot Tougaloo 42-0, including 25 shots on goal, as the Eagles' defense held firm throughout the match without allowing a single scoring chance.
The Eagles return to action at home on Wednesday, September 24, when they host Pensacola State College at the Fairhope Soccer Complex. Kickoff is set for 5 p.m.
