Box Score 2 Daphne, AL - The United States Sports University dropped a doubleheader to Louisiana Christian University on Tuesday afternoon at the Daphne Sports Complex by scores of 3-0 and 8-4.
In game one, the Eagles hit into two double plays and their seven hits were scattered as they were unable to score in the contest.
Ahlexus Lackey and
Aralee Beene each recorded a pair of hits but the Eagles were unable to come up with a clutch hit to close the deficit that LCU began with one run in the third and a pair of runs in the fifth. Both the Eagles and Crusaders registered seven hits apiece.
In game two, The Eagles jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the first inning aided by a pair of Crusader errors, Beene had an RBI bunt hit in the inning. Louisiana Christian scored three in the third to take the lead before the Eagles tied it in the bottom half as
Sheonte Barginere doubled in Beene who had singled. LCU added two runs in the fourth and three in the seventh to secure the victory. The Eagles' ten-hit attack was led by Beene with three hits,
Isabelle Calagaz with a pair of hits and Lackey also with a pair of hits.
The Eagles will return to action back at the Daphne Sports Complex as they host Stillman College in a 12 noon doubleheader on Thursday.
