Ameris Taylor is an accomplished soccer player who brings a wealth of experience, leadership, and passion for the game to her role as Assistant Coach for the Lady Eagles  

A native of Ocean Springs, Mississippi, Taylor’s soccer journey began at Ocean Springs High School, where she served as team captain and helped lead the team to the 2019 6A State Championship. Over her four-year high school career, she was instrumental in capturing four consecutive region championships (2016–2019) and earned multiple individual honors, including 2019 Offensive Player of the Year, 2018 Defensive Player of the Year, and selection to the 2019 Mississippi Coast All-Star Game and Sun Herald All-South Mississippi Team.

Taylor continued her playing career at East Central Community College (2019–2021), where she started every match across two seasons and guided the Lady Warriors to MACCC playoff appearances both years.

She then transferred to Louisiana State University Shreveport (LSU-S), where she was a cornerstone of the program from 2021 to 2023. Taylor started every game over her three-season tenure, utilizing a fifth year of eligibility granted due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Her standout play earned her multiple accolades, including 2023 Female Breakthrough Athlete of the Year and nominations for LSU-S Women’s Athlete of the Year (2023/24) and Female Breakthrough Athlete of the Year (2022).

In the classroom, Taylor exemplifies excellence off the field. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Management, and Administration with a concentration in Human Resources from LSU-S in 2023 and is currently pursuing a Master’s in Business Administration.

With a strong background as both a student-athlete and leader, Ameris Taylor brings valuable insight, discipline, and inspiration to her coaching role.
