PENSACOLA, Fla. – The United States Sports University volleyball team lost 3-1 to Pensacola Christian at the Sports Center on Tuesday.

How it Happened
USSU (3-12) trailed 14-7 in the opening set before cutting the deficit to 23-20 on a kill by
Emmory McMurtray. Lyssie Metzker's kill eventually closed the set for PCC (13-5).

In the second set, the Eagles built a four-point lead but later faced set point at 24-20. USSU went on a 6-0 scoring run to win 26-24, with
Jeya Dupris contributing two kills during the run, McMurtray supplying the go-ahead kill and
Cecilia Craig finishing the set.

Pensacola Christian hit .464 in the third set and scored its final four points consecutively to win 25-15.

In the fourth, USSU recovered from an 8-2 deficit to get within 15-12, then again within two at 17-15 on a
Lexey Maxwell kill. PCC answered with four consecutive points to lead 21-15 and held on to close the match.

- McMurtray led USSU with 14 kills.
- Dupris recorded her third career double-double, highlighted by 12 kills and 12 assists.

Jursey Foote earned her first career triple-double with 10 kills, 22 assists and 10 digs.

Braeden Holston led the Eagles with a season-high 20 digs.
- USSU finished with 49 kills compared to PCC's 54.
- Sydney Anderson led PCC with 17 kills while Olivia Boyd led with 43 assists.
