COLUMBUS, Miss. – The United States Sports University men's soccer team bounced back with a strong 5-1 victory on the road against MUW at the Roger Short Soccer Complex on Wednesday.

How it Happened
Adrian Pearson headed a cross from
Gus Gelsone in the second minute to get the Eagles (3-2-2, 1-1-0 CAC) on the board early.

Keandre Hernandez closed the half scoring off an assist from
Nathan Webb in the 43
rd minute, giving USSU a 2-0 lead going into halftime.
Â
Asher Nelson converted a penalty kick into his first goal of the season and extended the Eagles' lead 3-0.

Pearson scored his second goal of the match, this time assisted by
Henry McMurphy, in the 57
th minute, pushing the USSU lead to 4-0.

The Owls (0-6-0) were awarded a penalty kick in the 59
th minute that Simon Roth scored to make it a 4-1 game.

Hernandez completed his first career brace with the final goal of the match assisted by Nelson less than a minute later, sealing the 5-1 victory for the Eagles.
