PINE BLUFF, Ark. – The United States Sports University women's soccer team made history on Saturday, going on the road and defeating Arkansas-Pine Bluff, 5-2.

How it Happened
Katherine Solis connected with
Hailey Gatica in the 21
st minute to open scoring, giving USSU (1-0) an early 1-0 lead. Gatica's goal marked the first of the campaign and the first for her as an Eagle.

Nevaeh McIntosh and Dallas Rosby followed with a pair of goals in the 28
th and 51
st minutes, respectively, to give the Golden Lions (0-3) their first lead of the match, 2-1.

Ansley Warner responded with back-to-back goals in the 56
th and 68
th minutes and put the Eagles back in front, 3-2.

Avery Saulter added on to the USSU lead, finding the back of the net in the 76
th minute for her first goal with USSU.

Freshman forward
Kiara Pulgarin sealed the historic 5-2 victory with her first career goal in the 87
th minute.
