MOBILE, Ala. – The United States Sports University softball team dropped both games of a Thursday doubleheader to Spring Hill, falling 9-2 in the opener befoer a 13-4 decision in game two at Murray Field.

- The Eagles (14-30) struck first with single runs in each of the opening two innings to take a 2-0 lead.

Aralee Beene led off the game with a triple and scored on a sacrifice fly by Kassidy (Rowdy) New in the first inning.
- USSU added another run in the second as
Desiree Denmark came home on a groundout by New.
- Spring Hill (30-22) responded with two runs in the third to tie the game before taking a 3-2 lead in the fifth.
- The Badgers broke the game open in the sixth inning, scoring six runs on six hits to extend the lead.
- The Eagles totaled nine hits, with
Ahlexus Lackey (2-for-4) and
Irina Sanford (2-for-3) leading the offense.

- Spring Hill used a six-run first inning to take early control of the nightcap.
- The Eagles answered with four runs in the second inning, highlighted by a two-run double from
Isabelle Calagaz along with RBI from Sanford and New.
- Spring Hill responded with three runs in the bottom of the second, including a three-run home run, to extend the lead.
- The Badgers added a run in the fourth and three more in the fifth to secure the win.

Jaci Hagler led the Eagles at the plate, going 2-for-3, while Calagaz finished with two RBIs.
