HAMMOND, La. – The United States Sports University track and field team marked the end of the regular season at the Strawberry Relays, highlighted by a runner-up finish from
Christian Aikens and the debut of the men's 4x100m relay.

Aikens led the Eagles on the track, placing second in the 100m with a time of 10.82.
Â
USSU also saw the debut of its men's 4x100m relay team, marking another milestone for the program this season. The team consisting of
Tyler Johnson, Aikens,
Cole Hayward and
Charles Young finished third with a time 42.45.

Johnson also finished fourth in the 200m, stopping the clock at 22.68.
Devonte Cheffen placed seventh with a time of 22.80.

Young clocked a time of 51.53 in the 400m, good enough for eighth.
Â
In the field,
Jacob Hagan set a pair of personal records. In the discus, he threw a new personal-best mark of 41.83m (137-3) while placing eighth. He kept the momentum going in the hammer with a 34.34m (112-8) mark, earning him 10
th.

Hunter Hall placed fifth in the discus with a throw of 45.96m (150-9).
Â
In the shot put,
Jasper Nero claimed eighth place with a 12.95m (42-6) mark.

On the women's side,
Angelina Bercant placed 10
th in both the 100m (12.94) and 200m (27.22).

Up Next
The Eagles will make their first program appearance in the USCAA Track & Field Championships, which are scheduled to take place April 24-25 in Indiana, Pennsylvania.
