TALLAHASEE, Fla. – Jasper Nero smashed the school shot put record as the United States Sports University throws squad competed at the Dick Roberts Seminole Invitational on Friday.

Jasper Nero led the Eagles, breaking the USSU program record in the shot put with a mark of 14.70m (48-2.75) and finishing second. Nero also added a personal-best performance in the hammer throw, recording a mark of 41.79m (137-1), which was good for fourth.

Jacob Hagan also turned in a personal best in the hammer throw, posting a mark of 33.04m (108-5).

On the women's side,
Shaterica Griffin recorded the first javelin throw in program history, finishing third with a 26.61m (87-4) mark.
