PITTSBURGH, Pa. – The United States Sports University softball team earned its first ranking in the USCAA Softball Poll in program history, coming in at No. 9. USSU also received a No. 5 ranking in the Week 1 Power Rankings.

The ranking marks the first appearance for Eagle Softball in program history. USSU split a pair of doubleheaders against NAIA competition this week.

The Eagles started with a 7-6 win in game one of the doubleheader against Stillman. USSU took game two of the doubleheader at #25 Faulkner, 5-2, to cap off the week.

In the power rankings, the Eagles hold the second-strongest rating rank and third-best strength of schedule rank.
