LAFAYETTE, La. – The United States Sports University track and field team delivered a strong performance at the Louisiana Classic, highlighted by three program records, multiple personal bests and a runner-up finish in the men's 4x400m relay.

Shaterica Griffin broke the program record in the discus with a throw of 31.11m (102-1).

On the men's side,
Hunter Hall set a new program record in the hammer throw, recording a mark of 43.46m (142-7).

Ethan Bowie, who made his collegiate debut, set the school record in the 800m with a time of 2:07.38.

USSU added another highlight with the debut of the men's 4x400m relay team, which featured
Tyler Johnson,
Christian Aikens,
Jacob Hobson and
Cole Hayward. The Eagles placed second overall with a time of 3:17.38, marking the fastest relay performance in head coach
Andy Canegitta's career.

The Eagles also saw multiple personal-best performances in the throws.
Jacob Hagan recorded a personal best in the hammer throw with a mark of 31.24 (102-6), while
Jasper Nero set a personal record in the discus at 35.70 (117-1).
