MOBILE, Ala. – The United States Sports University track and field team finished its weekend at the South Alabama Invitational on Saturday. The Eagles saw multiple personal and program records fall during the final day of the meet.

Christian Aikens highlighted the day with a second-place finish in the 400m, crossing the line in 48.76.

Tyler Johnson (49.93) and
Charles Young (50.43) both posted a personal-best time while finishing fourth and seventh, respectively.
Â
USSU also saw strong performances in the throwing events.
Jasper Nero finished third in the shot put with a personal-best throw of 13.51m (44-4).

In the discus,
Hunter Hall placed fourth with a mark of 41.84m (137-3), breaking the school record.
Jacob Hagan finished sixth with 39.19m (128-7), which set a personal record.

Maryam Williams broke her 400m school record and placed fourth in 1:01.50.
Angelina Bercant clocked a new program record, finishing 13
th in the 100m with a time of 12.98.

Shaterica Griffin set a school record in the discus with a mark of 28.35m (93-0) and placed 12
th.
