Fairhope, AL – The United States Sports University women's soccer team showed resilience in a 3-1 setback against Pensacola State on Wednesday evening.
Emma Deacon provided the highlight for the Eagles, finding the back of the net in the 67th minute off an assist from
Ambria Snell.
Offensively, USSU tallied seven shots, including five on goal, while goalkeeper
Abby Bengtson turned in a strong performance with 16 saves to keep the Eagles within striking distance.
The Eagles will look to build on their efforts when they return to action at home on Sunday, September 28, against Spring Hill College at the Fairhope Soccer Complex.
