Talladega, AL - The United States Sports University men's soccer team saw its road contest at Talladega College come to an abrupt halt on Wednesday evening as  weather forced the match to be suspended early in the first half. After several minutes of play, lightning in the area led officials to halt the match for the safety of the players, coaches, and fans.

The Eagles, who were eager to continue building momentum on the pitch, will now turn their focus to their next scheduled match. USSU will return to action on Saturday, September 27, when they host John Melvin Christian College. Kickoff is set for 7 PM, with the Eagles looking to regroup and carry their energy into the weekend matchup.
