Fairhope, AL — The United States Sports University Eagles men's soccer team's home opener against the University of Mobile was suspended at halftime due to severe weather conditions at the Fairhope Soccer Complex.

The first half was tightly contested, with both sides creating opportunities. The Rams managed to break through late in the half, taking a 1–0 lead before the weather forced officials to suspend play. With heavy rain and lightning in the area, the decision was made to halt the match for the safety of players, staff, and spectators.

The official status of the match—whether it will be resumed at a later date or recorded as a completed contest—will be determined in the coming days.

The Eagles will now turn their attention to preparing for their upcoming scheduled match at John Melvin Christian College on Wednesday, August 27th while awaiting an official ruling on the Mobile fixture.
