DAPHNE, Ala. – United States Sports University (USSU) has announced the hiring of Nolan Kotila as the institution's first Sports Information Director.

Kotila will serve as the primary contact for all of the department's varsity teams.

Kotila joins the Eagles after serving as the Sports Information Director at Spring Hill College, where he led athletic communications, broadcasts and digital storytelling efforts. During his tenure, he was awarded the Spring Hill College "Spirit of Spring Hill" award in recognition of embodying the mission and identity of the college.

Kotila began his career in the Communications and Digital Media Department at the University of South Alabama, serving as the primary contact for the track and field, women's soccer and men's golf teams. While at USA, he was featured in an article published in
CoSIDA 360.

A native of Prattville, Alabama, Kotila earned a bachelor's degree in communications from South Alabama in 2021 while serving as a student assistant. He is also an active member of College Sports Communicators (CSC).
